Spectroscopy CCD cameras target OEMs


Lansis CCD cameras extend Teledyne’s spectroscopy portfolio into system integrator and OEM markets, bringing with them increased sensitivity and reliability. Based on the latest in CCD array detector technology, the Lansis family offers a variety of configurations for spectroscopy and scientific imaging and can be used for applications ranging from in-vivo imaging and life science research to material science and failure analysis of microelectronics.

Lansis spectroscopy detectors feature permanent vacuum sealing to ensure reliability and provide a choice of CCD sensor sizes and enhancements. A variety of mounts and a software development toolkit allow easy camera integration into OEM instrument platforms with techniques such as Raman, optical emissions spectroscopy, fluorescence, and photoluminescence.

Teledyne’s optional eXcelon enhancement process for back-illuminated CCDs leverages high-performance near-infrared etalon suppression to dramatically improve quantum efficiency across a wavelength range of 350 nm to 1100 nm. OEM systems requiring high UV sensitivity can take advantage of Unichrome UV-conversion coatings. This unique composite phosphor can be vacuum deposited directly to the surface of Lansis CCD sensors to extend the detection range to 200 nm and below.

The Lansis family comprises a variety of CCD sensor types, including back illuminated, deep depletion, electron multiplying, and square format. Other sensor formats are available to accommodate the requirements of specific system integrators and OEMs.
